Introduction to the vibration isolation principle of the centrifuge (separator) vibration isolation system

Vibration isolation is to change the rigid connection between the vibration source and the foundation into an elastic connection to isolate or weaken the transmission of vibration energy, thereby achieving the purpose of reducing vibration or reducing noise. The vibration isolating device generally has a vibration isolator placed under the base to isolate the surrounding objects such as the excitation source and the foundation, so that the vibration of the machine is not transmitted to the surroundings. The important indicators for measuring the effectiveness of the vibration isolation are generally expressed by the vibration isolation coefficient.
Since the stiffness of the machine is much greater than the stiffness of the isolator, the machine is generally considered to be a rigid body of only mass, and the isolator is considered to be an elastic element with only stiffness and damping. For machines that only consider one-way vibration, it can be simplified to a single-degree-of-freedom vibration isolation system.
The system consists of one machine (mass m) and one vibration isolator (damping coefficient K). To make the centrifuge run smoothly, the working speed must avoid the critical speed.
A centrifuge (separator) is a high-speed rotary machine that rotates from hundreds to tens of thousands of revolutions per minute. Due to the imbalance of the rotating system in the rotation, as well as the addition of materials during the operation of the centrifuge, the uniform distribution of the materials, etc., will cause the vibration of the centrifuge. In addition, sometimes due to the needs of the process, the centrifuge is required to be installed on a high-rise floor, and the vibration requirements are more demanding. In order to extend the service life of the machine and ensure the personal safety of the operator, appropriate vibration isolation measures must be taken. Therefore, the design of the vibration isolation system of the centrifuge (separator) is particularly important.
